Mission Statement
We exist to enhance the lives of children with significant behavioral needs, who are involved in multiple systems, through family-focused, child-centered, strength-based, and culturally competent care in the community.
You are here:
Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation & Dev. Disabilities
The Cuyahoga County Board of MR/DD provides specialized educational and support services, service coordination and support administration for children with MR/DD. It also offers behavior intervention and curriculum consultation to public school districts and to the families of public school students who have MR/DD. Families can access family resource services for respite care, summer camp, special equipment and home modifications, which help them to keep their child with MR/DD at home rather than turning to placement outside the home.
What is our role in Cuyahoga Tapestry System of Care?
The Cuyahoga County Board of MR/DD provides expertise and resources to help meet the needs of children who have MR/DD and who are also involved with other agencies that are a part of the Tapestry System of Care.
